Payments, taxes, and duty

How can I pay?

We accept a range of credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Paypal via our Shopify store.

Please note that we are no longer able to accept cheques as a result of a huge increase in bank charges for cheque deposits.

VAT and import duty.

* Please note, effective 1st July 2018, we are no longer registered for VAT in the UK.

If you are ordering from outside the UK (including EU/EEA states effective 1st Jan 2021) your order may be subject to import duty, VAT, and handling charges imposed by the destination tax authority. We have no control over this, and we are not able to provide advice on what taxes/import duties might apply in each individual destination country and what limits for duty free imports might be. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to pay all import duties and taxes as appropriate. You will be contacted by your local import authority or postal service provider for payment of relevant import duty before delivery.

Security - how safe are your credit card details?

We know that many internet users worry about how safe their credit card details are when they make purchases on-line and we've done everything we can to make sure that your details are secure when you shop at meadow yarn.

We use Shopify, a leading e-commerce platform to process all payments including Paypal and to store all customer account information. Shopify encrypts all your personal and payment details and will never transmit any data without encryption.

We (Meadow Yarn) do not store your personal or card details anywhere in our own system and have no record of your payment details that might be vulnerable.
