On Christmas Eve afternoon, as the sun sets, we settle in front of the fire as a family, and each open a new book that we've chosen especially for this occasion. Anything goes, from graphic novels, through non-fiction, to classics that we've read before and can't resist, but I usually try to find something that encapsulates the season and sets the mood for the days ahead, so when I saw that Susanna Clarke had a beautifully illustrated short story arriving just in time I couldn't resist the temptation to start a brand new book/yarnie tradition!

Designed to be opened when you need a quiet few moments to regroup and find your seasonal good sprits in the run-up to the big day, this indulgent yarn box will contain a copy of The Wood At Midwinter by Susanna Clarke, an indulgent scented candle, a beautiful tree decoration, and three skeins of yarn dyed to create a fluid fade, inspired by this wonderful short story.
